Request for Support

Requests should be submitted by the Wednesday prior to the Steering Committee meeting where decisions are made.  Requests that come in later will be considered on an emergency basis.  Groups are expected to mobilize their own members for the event and provide volunteers to help with mailings.

What are you requesting?

Make announcement and circulate sign-up sheet at meeting
Phone and mailing lists are available for our 200 most active members. Your organization is responsible for doing the mailing or making the calls. (maximum of 4 approved per month)
Mailing and activation of the phone tree lists of more than a thousand members. You must provide some volunteers for mailing and defray mailing expenses when possible. (maximum of 1 approved per month)
JwJ has extensive experience in planning campaigns and actions, including theater and the use of giant puppets. If you would like help in designing an event or a campaign, call the office at 236-5573.
The WRB is made up of about 70 community leaders who lend their moral support to workers and help resolve situations which threaten workers’ rights.
