Action For Trade and Immigrant Justice

Protest at Senators' offices showing that corporate globalization forces immigration.“Stop the hypocrisy: Free Trade Forces Migration” “NAFTA Destroyed Mexican Agriculture and American Jobs” “Low Wages? Blame Free Trade, Not Immigrants.” “Under Funded Schools? Blame Corporations, Not Immigrants.” We demand fair trade and civil rights for immigrants. We all know that U.S. immigration policy has and will always have absolutely nothing to do with how many migrants cross our borders. We all know that migration patterns are closely tied to the movement of capital. We all know that the passage of NAFTA in 1994 and the subsequent upsurge in migration is no coincidence. But no one is talking about this in the media. We know that CAFTA and potential free trade deals with Peru and Colombia will only worsen the problem.
