Help support the 15,000 Goodyear workers on Strike!Saturday December 16, 2006 11:00 AMDivision Tire, 12121 SE Division St.The experienced workers at Goodyear, members of the Steelworkers Union, have been forced out on strike due to the company’s demands to gut healthcare, close factories and bring tires in from China and other low-wage countries. Retired workers at Goodyear, many of whom face illnesses and medical conditions directly related to their jobs, would soon be left without health care insurance coverage if Goodyear has its way. And now, Goodyear is using SCABS to make tires sold in America. Goodyear has abandoned American workers, retirees and their communities.
