Whole Foods Market, 1210 NW Couch St., Portland (In the Pearl District)
An overwhelming percentage of workers at the three job sites for Beef Northwest in Nyssa, Boardman, and Quincy have signed cards indicating their desire for representation by the UNITED FARM WORKERS UNION due to on the job conditions including but not limited to:
*Forced work off the clock with no rest or breaks for 12 hour days.
*Forced to eat lunch while working.
*No access to water, to drink or wash-up.
*No time off for medical appointments.
*Continuous harassment and lack of respect.
Whole Foods sells Oregon Country Beef.
Beef Northwest is the exclusive feedlot for Oregon Country Beef.
The feedlot's owner is one of two partners of Oregon Country Beef.
Demand that Whole Foods contact Oregon Country Beef in support of workers whose rights are abused.
