Save Our Postal Service

A community action in support of postal workers and the essential service that they provide. 

Rally at Terry Schrunk  Plaza followed by a march to a post office, where massive amounts of post cards will be sent to the Postmaster General urging him to prevent post office closures and keep Saturday delivery.

Set up along the Rose Parade Route by 10am and have LOTS of FUN!!

Breaking: Workers Win Contract with Vancouver Hilton

Hilton Worker Luke Addressing CrowdIn a surprise announcement at the Jobs with Justice Annual Dinner last night, Vancouver Hilton worker Tia Sells surprised and delighted the dinner crowd with word of a contract agreement with management.  Details are forthcoming.  But those following the struggle know that it has been a long and hard fight. 

Congratulations to the Hilton workers and UNITE HERE local 9 in their victory!

Portland and Vancouver Rising - Hundreds Cross the River in Solidarity

Hundreds of people fed up with corporate greed and Wall Street avarice marched from Portland to Vancouver uniting struggles on both sides of the river. Supporters from Occupy Vancouver greeted the marchers as they arrived in Vancouver.  On the other side of the bridge, Occupy Portland swelled the numbers to more than 500.
