Save Our Postal Service

A community action in support of postal workers and the essential service that they provide. 

Rally at Terry Schrunk  Plaza followed by a march to a post office, where massive amounts of post cards will be sent to the Postmaster General urging him to prevent post office closures and keep Saturday delivery.

Pitch A Tent for the Right to Survive, a public campout designed to raise awareness about the criminalization of homelessness in Portland and across the nation, and the creative solutions that can be implemented immediately to address this human rights crisis.

Set up along the Rose Parade Route by 10am and have LOTS of FUN!!

This is a workshop designed to answer basic questions about improved, expanded Medicare for all health care systems.

Single Payer Health Care workshop

The governor of Vermont just signed into law a plan to offer truly affordable health care to everyone in the state.  Portland Jobs with Justice wants to make sure single payer health care is coming next to Oregon!  The JwJ Health Care Committee is offering a free workshop, "Review of Single Payer" covering basic questions about improved Medicare-for-all health systems.

To register for the class, write to singlepayoregon@gmail.com.  Please include three to four questions that you'd like answered so we can get the most appropriate presenters.  Workshops at later dates will cover legislative strategy and tips on public speaking.  Details to be announced.
