Big Crowd Supports Striking Parry Center Workers & Right to Organize

Large crowd bolsters strike

(12/10/2004) -- Upwards of 300 people braved this rainy night to support the Parry Center workers and the right of workers to organize. Billed as the "Kids Festival of Lights for Rights", attendees were treated to picket signs festooned with holiday lights, a spectacular IWW picket sign, stirring speeches from people of faith, uplifting songs of solidarity from General Strike and rousing chants from the broad collective.

Clearly the energy from the strikers and supporters delivered a strong message to managment and the community - "We support the fundamental democratic right of workers to organize and we support the Parry Center workers!"
