Bob McCall named 2005 Ginch of the Year

New Grinch, same story

(Portland 12/17/2005) -- Bob McCall, millionaire owner of McCall Oil and Chemical, was named The 2005 Grinch of the Year last night in a tight and hard-fought contest. Hundreds of votes were bought and sold; horsetrading, cajoling and threats were widespread and in the end, Bob McCall came out on top in this corporate style election. As one wag put it, "We had a great field of candidates this year but this particular boss stood out." Bob's company is so bad that even the National Labor Relations Board has issued a complaint against McCall Oil for three Unfair Labor Practices including not bargaining in good faith. The workers at the company continue to labor without a contract. As heard last night, "Even Scrooge had a change of heart around Christmas, why not Bob?"
