A community action in support of postal workers and the essential service that they provide. 

Rally at Terry Schrunk  Plaza followed by a march to a post office, where massive amounts of post cards will be sent to the Postmaster General urging him to prevent post office closures and keep Saturday delivery.

Crowd to Charles Schwab - Hands off our Social Security!

Stop privatization!

(3/31/2005) -- One hundred supporters of Social Security rallied in front of the Charles Schwab office in downtown Portland to tell the investment firm to back off from the campaign to privatize. Several clients of the company attempted to deliver a letter opposing privatization to the local office but were prevented entry by the police. Charles Schwab is a prominent funder of the effort to convince Americans that privatization of Social Security is the way to go.
