Save Our Postal Service

A community action in support of postal workers and the essential service that they provide. 

Rally at Terry Schrunk  Plaza followed by a march to a post office, where massive amounts of post cards will be sent to the Postmaster General urging him to prevent post office closures and keep Saturday delivery.

Unemployed Benefits Expire for Millions

Today unemployed benefits expire for thousands of Oregonians and 2 million workers nationwide.  You would think that this would drive Congress to action.  Instead Republicans and some Democrats are more concerned with giving tax breaks to the rich and cutting the social safety net to appease the deficit hawks.
