Update: On Saturday, the district reached a tentative agreement in the Reynolds strike, after negotiating all night. School will resume on Tuesday. Thank you to all the teachers who showed us what united determination and courage looks like, and to all the community members who swelled the picketlines in the rain and came out to the rally. Teachers will vote on their agreement on Wednesday.
Around 600 people turned out at short notice for the rally in support of Reynolds School District teachers during bargaining today. The Board made proposals in respect to money, but did not address contract language, so mediation and the strike continues.
