Scrooge Profile - Darrell Issa
The second of our Scrooge Of The Year candidates to be highlighted is Darrell Issa.
Post Offices sit at the center of many of our communities. The California Congressman would rather shutter them than fix Congress’ absurd requirement that the retiree health benefits of postal workers are funded 75 years into the future. Is this sufficiently Scrooge-like for the 2012 award?
Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, is next in our glittering and greedy lineup.

Association of Letter Carriers (Branch 82), Issa eagerly responded:

Holiday Toy Drive
Support the Labor's Community Service Agency will their annual Holiday Toy Drive. Toys will be donated to the children of working families currently out of work. Bring unwrapped toys to the addresses below, or to the next Jobs With Justice Steering Committee meeting.

Scrooge of the Year 2012

The popular Jobs With Justice holiday party will take place on Saturday,
December 15th at 7pm. As usual we will gather at the Peace House, 2116
NE 18th Ave, for food and drink, theater, and to watch the votes come
in.
